Egypt Citizenship Step by Step Process

Getting Egypt citizenship through investment involves a clear and detailed procedure. Here's how it works:

Complete Preliminary Due Diligence

1

WeRWealthy begins by running a confidential background check. Our certified Compliance Anti-Money Laundering Officers use only a copy of your passport to assess your eligibility. This quick step helps detect any issues early and reduces the risk of rejection to just 1%. You can also take a short eligibility test to uncover possible obstacles before moving forward.

Prepare Documents and Submit Your Application

2

Once you pass the initial check, WeRWealthy’s legal team provides you with a full list of required documents. You’ll need to collect and submit passport and birth certificate copies for all applicants, four passport-sized photos, proof of payment for the $10,000 government fee, a police clearance certificate from your country of residence attested by Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a police clearance certificate from Egyptian authorities if you’ve visited Egypt before, a medical report from a hospital in Egypt, and a certificate of travel history for the past five years issued by your country and attested by Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After you provide the original documents, WeRWealthy will handle all translations and notarizations and submit your application through the official government platform.

Pay the Government Fee

3

You must pay a $10,000 state fee (or the equivalent in another currency) from abroad to the Egyptian Cabinet’s account at the Central Bank of Egypt. Once payment is confirmed, your application moves forward to the next stage.

Undergo First Due Diligence and Receive Temporary Residency

4

Egyptian authorities begin the first round of Due Diligence, which typically takes six months. During this time, they review your documents through national security databases. If you choose to transfer the full investment amount before this background check finishes, you may fast-track your application and skip certain steps. After passing this phase, you receive a 6-month temporary residence permit. You must travel to Egypt within this period and complete your required investment.

Complete Final Due Diligence and Obtain Citizenship

5

Once you complete the investment, the program resumes Due Diligence. If you pass the final check, WeRWealthy submits your file to the Prime Minister of Egypt. After approval, the Prime Minister signs your naturalisation documents. You then receive your citizenship certificate and your Egyptian passport.
