IAPMEI reviews your application within 30 days. You can track its progress online. Once approved, they send you a declaration of participation that is valid for six months.
You have to apply for your Startup Visa at the Portuguese consulate in your country. After receiving the visa, you will travel to Portugal and make your appointment at the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) to submit your documents.
AIMA approves your application and issues your residence permit card, which is useful for two years and can be renewed for three more. After 5-years, you can apply for permanent residence or citizenship in Portugal.
