Begin by reviewing whether you qualify. You have to intend to start a venture-backed business or bring a product or service that relies on advanced technology. Then fill out the EntrePass application form and attach a copy of your passport's personal particulars page. Write a concise 10-page business plan that covers what your business does, the market you're targeting, how you'll run the company, and who's on your team. Once you have everything ready, apply online through the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) website and pay the SGD 105 application fee with a credit card.
Once you've signed and submitted your application, the Ministry of Manpower will review it within approximately eight weeks. If they approve it, they'll send you an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter. This letter is valid for six months and allows you to enter Singapore to complete the final steps. If MOM requires a medical check-up, the letter will mention it.
After obtaining the IPA, you will be required to register your company with ACRA (the accounting and corporate regulatory authority) within 30 days. Make sure you have a local address in Singapore when you register the company. After the registration is complete, update MOM with your company's details to proceed with the pass issuance.
Use your IPA letter to enter Singapore. If MOM requires a medical exam, complete it as soon as you arrive. Then, request the EntrePass issuance online using the EP eService or visit the Employment Pass Services Centre (EPSC). You must pay a pass issuance fee of SGD 225. If you need a Multiple Journey Visa, pay an additional SGD 30. MOM will then issue a notification letter that allows you to start working immediately. This letter is valid for one month while you wait for your physical EntrePass card.
If required, visit the EPSC within two weeks to register your fingerprints and photo. Bring your original passport, the notification letter, and any documents mentioned in your IPA. Once you complete the biometric process, you'll receive your EntrePass card within four working days at your local address. Your EntrePass is valid for one year. To renew it, you must show business progress, such as increased local hiring or qualifying business expenses. As your company grows, you may become eligible to apply for permanent residency after about two years.
Our expert-driven process is faster, easier, and completely hassle-free.
