Discover the unique opportunities Portugal offers for entrepreneurs looking to launch their startup. With a welcoming environment, access to funding, and a strategic location within the EU, the Startup Visa provides a solid foundation for growing your business in one of Europe's most dynamic markets.
Establish Your Global Presence
You must form and run your startup in the U.S. You pay state filing fees, usually between $50 and $500. You might also pay for registered agent services, legal advice, and accounting.
You must support yourself and your family while living in the U.S. Expect to pay $1,500 to $3,500 per month for rent, $200 to $400 for utilities, and $500 to $1,000 for food and transportation. You also need to buy health insurance, with costs varying by plan.
You pay $1,000 to file Form I-941 for parole under IER. You pay $85 for biometrics, $410 for work authorization (Form I-765), and $575 for advance parole (Form I-131), if needed.
You may hire an immigration lawyer, which can cost $2,000 to $10,000. You also pay for translating documents, medical exams, police clearances, and travel expenses if applying from abroad.

Make sure you meet the basic requirements. You must own at least 10% of a U.S. startup that's less than five years old. You must actively run the business. Your startup must show strong potential to grow quickly and create jobs. It should also have received either $264,147 from U.S. investors or $105,659 in government funding. If you don't meet these exact numbers, you can still qualify by showing strong proof that your business will succeed. We help you understand the rules and prepare the right documents.
Fill out Form I-941. You also need to gather proof of your ownership, your role in the company, and your startup's formation documents. Include evidence of the investment or funding your business received. If your spouse or children are coming with you, complete Form I-131 for each of them. We help you gather and organize everything to make sure your application is complete and clear.
Send your Form I-941 to USCIS along with the $1,000 application fee and $85 biometric fee. If your spouse or children are applying, submit their forms and fees separately. Use the mailing address listed on the USCIS website. We guide you through the process so nothing is missed.
USCIS will schedule a biometrics appointment. You and your family must go in person to provide fingerprints and photos. This helps them complete background checks. We'll let you know what to bring and how to prepare.
If USCIS approves your application, they will grant you a 2.5-year (30-month) parole. You can move to the U.S. and grow your startup. You can apply for another 2.5 years if your business continues to show strong progress. While you're in the U.S., you must stay active in running your business and follow all USCIS rules. We help you stay on track and grow your business the right way.
Our expert-driven process is faster, easier, and completely hassle-free.
